Subject: It is my intention...

Dear ,
The drumbeat to dismantle important new health protections has begun. Opponents of health reform in Congress are right now making step-by-step plans to rollback key protections for health care consumers passed by Affordable Care Act.
“...it is my intention to begin repealing it piece by piece, blocking funding for its implementation and blocking the issuance of the regulations necessary to implement it.” -- House Republican whip, Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia[1]
It is our intention to keep moving forward.
We need to move quickly to stand up not only for our own children, but also for moms like Tracy in Colorado whose son who is battling cancer and is relying on key protections of health reform that make it illegal for insurers to put annual and lifetime caps on care or drop people from coverage when they get sick.

In the first 36 hours we raised more than $4,000 from wonderful supporters just like you who are chipping in what they can.  We're nearly halfway there -- but we still need your help to reach our goal of $10,000 this week.  Can you pitch in $15 now?

A contribution of $15 or more will enable us to fight to keep health care.  We will launch a virtual storm on the new Congress--on-the-ground, online, and in the media--reminding them that they need to keep standing up for families, not health insurance lobbyists.  And we'll make sure Congress can't ignore us by donning our MomsRising supermom t-shirts and personally delivering these messages with members in DC, and also bringing moms like Tracy straight to Congress to share their experiences.  (There's nothing like TV images of fed up moms to make elected officials nervous.)
Hundreds of MomsRising supporters have already donated to this urgent campaign, including many first time donors.  Will you lend a hand?
As we go into this fight, we all need to pitch in.
Whether you're a parent who can now rest easy knowing your child can be protected under your health plan until age 26, someone who has a child with a pre-existing condition who can never again be denied affordable health care, or a business owner who can now afford to purchase health care insurance because of health care tax credits for small businesses; we all have gained critical protections from the passage of health care reform.

We must counter coming efforts in Congress to roll back the hard fought consumer protections we have won through the passage of the Affordable Care Act!

With opponents of health care reform planning right now how to dismantle health reform, we need your help NOW.

Can you pitch in $15 today?
Thanks for your work on behalf of America's families.

--Kristin, Donna, Joan, Anita, Mary, Julissa and the whole MomsRising Team

P.S.  Please pass this message along to your friends and family, and urge them to donate so they can help us push health reform through!
